Thanks to all of ye who have contacted me so far, the database continues to grow!  Remember, if your name is on the Database, you'll automatically be emailed about anything new, and get mobile phone reminders!
Please email me: val@canfas.org so I can add your details.
This database is confidential, and ONLY used to contact you about forthcoming events/new information. Your name, your child's name & DoB (& diagnosis, if any, and who gave the diagnosis), any siblings' names/DoB, your email, your mobile phone number, roughly where you live (eg Carrigaline).

ANYONE with an AS or ASD (or ANY related disorders) child/young adult can join the CANFAS database, even if you don't live nearby but you are prepared and willing to travel to events held here.  It is NOT an exclusive club, however an important aim is to help build up a local supportive community for the children to be part of, and the great knock-on effect is we adults get to make lots of great new local friends too!

If you haven't got a support group near you but would like to, I'm happy to help you make that a reality.  I'm just a mum who started CANFAS out of necessity, and you really can do it in your area too!  Check out the Contact page for more details of other parent support groups in Cork!

CANFAS's aim is to Connect with ALL the families within Cork and beyond for support, friendship and information-sharing, and for our AS and ASD children to find acceptance and tolerance within their communities, to form local friendships with other children similar to themselves, and gain whatever level of independence they are able to achieve.  The other Cork support Groups feel the same way, and I hope many more will join us on our journey! All of Cork's Support Groups' contact info (currently known to me) can be found on the Contact Page

CANFAS is on Facebook! Click on the link below, have a look, please "like" the page, add your comments, tell your friends and make suggestions/recommend links!
